There has been considerable interest in joining a family history group for beginners. Scunthorpe and District U3A has an established Genealogy Group but it can be confusing for those who are very new to family history. I have, therefore, started a beginners' group which I plan to run for 6 months at least to get people up and started. They can then carry on at home and/or join the Genealogy Group when there is space.

Beginners’ Family History will meet at the Scunthorpe Bowls Club Clubhouse. There is some parking but there is always space on the road outside as well. The Group is open to Scunthorpe and North Lindsey members. You do not need a computer or tablet for these meetings.
